Nanofiltration Membrane Overview

Nanofiltration (NF) membrane is a high-performance separation membrane positioned between ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. It is capable of selectively retaining divalent and multivalent ions, organic matter, and microorganisms, while allowing certain monovalent ions to pass through. With a typical pore size of around 1 nanometer, nanofiltration membranes operate under relatively low pressure and consume less energy. They are widely used in drinking water purification, food processing, pharmaceutical separation, and industrial wastewater treatment. NF membranes effectively remove hardness, organic contaminants, heavy metals, and pesticide residues from water, while retaining beneficial minerals, making them an ideal choice for achieving high-quality water treatment.

Application

JXNF industrial nanofiltration membrane elements are mainly used to remove organic matter, microorganisms, viruses and most of the divalent and above metal ions in water, and retain part of sodium and potassium ions. The nanofiltration membrane separation process has no chemical reaction, no phase transition, no heating, and no biological activity, so it is more and more widely used in drinking water preparation, sewage treatment and liquid separation in food, medicine, bioengineering and other industries and concentration purification process。

Application
