PV(PHOTOVOLTAIC) INDUSTRY

Photovoltaic industry, referred to as PV (photovoltaic). 76% of the land in my country has abundant sunlight, and the distribution of light energy resources is relatively uniform; compared with hydropower, wind power, nuclear power, etc., solar power generation has no emissions and noise, and the application technology is mature, safe and reliable.
In addition to large-scale grid-connected power generation and off-grid applications, solar energy can also be stored in various ways such as water pumping, superconductivity, storage batteries, and hydrogen production. Solar energy + energy storage can almost meet China's future stable energy demand.
Solar energy is the cleanest, safest and most reliable energy source in the future. Developed countries are taking the development and utilization of solar energy as the main content of the energy revolution in their long-term plans. The photovoltaic industry is increasingly becoming another explosively developing industry after the IT and microelectronics industries in the world. The best way to use solar energy is photovoltaic conversion, which is to use the photovoltaic effect, so that sunlight hits the silicon material to generate current and directly generate electricity.
The photoelectric conversion industry chain formed by the application and development of silicon materials is called "photovoltaic industry", including the production of high-purity polysilicon raw materials, the production of solar cells, the production of solar cell modules, and the manufacture of related production equipment.

Photovoltaic power generation is a technology that directly converts light energy into electrical energy by utilizing the photovoltaic effect of the semiconductor interface. The key element of this technology is the solar cell. After the solar cells are connected in series, they can be packaged and protected to form a large-area solar cell module, and then combined with power controllers and other components to form a photovoltaic power generation device. The advantage of photovoltaic power generation is that it is less restricted by geographical areas, because the sun shines on the earth; the photovoltaic system also has the advantages of safety and reliability, no noise, low pollution, no need to consume fuel and erect transmission lines, and can generate electricity and power locally, and the construction period is short.

Photovoltaic power generation is based on the principle of photovoltaic effect, using solar cells to directly convert sunlight energy into electrical energy. Regardless of whether it is used independently or connected to the grid, the photovoltaic power generation system is mainly composed of three parts: solar panels (components), controllers and inverters. They are mainly composed of electronic components and do not involve mechanical parts. Therefore, photovoltaic power generation equipment Extremely refined, reliable and stable, long life, easy installation and maintenance.

In theory, photovoltaic power generation technology can be used in any occasion that requires power, ranging from spacecraft, down to household power, large to megawatt power stations, small to toys, photovoltaic power is everywhere. The most basic components of solar photovoltaic power generation are solar cells (sheets), including monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, amorphous silicon and thin film cells. At present, monocrystalline and polycrystalline batteries are used the most, and amorphous batteries are used for some small systems and auxiliary power supplies for calculators.
The efficiency of domestic crystalline silicon cells is about 18 to 23%. A solar panel consisting of one or more solar cells is called a photovoltaic module.

At present, photovoltaic power generation products are mainly used in three aspects: one is to provide power for powerless occasions, mainly to provide power for the living and production of residents in the vast powerless areas, as well as microwave relay power supply, communication power supply, etc. In addition, it also includes some mobile Power supply and backup power supply; second, solar daily electronic products, such as various solar chargers, solar street lights and solar lawn lights, etc.; third, grid-connected power generation, which has been widely implemented in developed countries. my country's grid-connected power generation has not yet started. However, part of the electricity used for the 2008 Beijing Olympics was provided by solar power and wind power.

    1. Never run out.
    2. The geographical location of the location where solar energy is collected is not high; relatively speaking, hydropower stations or wind power plants have relatively high geographical requirements.
    3. The time and cost required to build a solar power station are lower than that of a hydropower station.
    4. The use of solar energy will not cause environmental pollution and is an ideal green energy source. However, the mining of raw materials and the production of photovoltaic products also consume a lot of energy and cause pollution.
    5. Wide range of applications, even ordinary families can use solar energy to generate electricity.
Therefore, in order to exploit and use solar energy more effectively, countries around the world are constantly developing the technology of solar photovoltaic modules, making the best use of this "inexhaustible" energy source.

Solar energy is the only source of energy that can guarantee the future needs of mankind. Photovoltaic power generation is a purely physical process that uses solar energy to convert photons into electrons. The conversion process does not emit any harmful substances. Its characteristics are as follows:

Adequacy: According to the report of the US Department of Energy (April 2005), the world's potential hydropower resources are 4.6TW (1TW=1012W), and the economically exploitable resources are only 0.9TW; the actual exploitable resources of wind energy are 2~4TW; biomass energy is 3TW; Ocean energy is less than 2TW; geothermal energy is about 12TW; potential solar energy resources are 120,000TW, and the actual recoverable resources are as high as 600TW.

Safety: reliable operation and safe use; strong regularity and predictability of power generation (dispatching is easier than wind power generation).
Extensiveness: abundant production materials (the content of silicon in the crust ranks second), wide construction area (deserts, buildings, etc.), suitable for scale.

Maintenance-free: long service life (20~50 years, 20% reduction in efficiency after 25 years of operation), maintenance-free, unattended.

Cleanliness: no fuel consumption, zero emission, no noise, no pollution, short energy payback period (0.8~3.0 years).

  • The irradiated energy distribution density is low, and the energy conversion efficiency is low, which requires a huge ground area.

The power obtained is significantly affected by climatic conditions such as day and night and cloudy, sunny and foggy days.

High pollution and high energy consumption in the manufacturing process of photovoltaic panels.
