DESALINATION

Desalination is the use of seawater desalination to produce fresh water. It is an open-source incremental technology to realize the utilization of water resources, which can increase the total amount of fresh water, and is not affected by time, space and climate, and can ensure stable water supply such as drinking water for coastal residents and industrial boiler replenishment.
The process of obtaining fresh water from sea water is called desalination. The seawater desalination methods currently used include seawater freezing method, electrodialysis method, distillation method, reverse osmosis method, and the profitable ammonium carbonate ion exchange method. At present, our reverse osmosis membrane system is characterized by its simple equipment, easy maintenance and equipment. The advantages of modularity quickly occupied the market and gradually replaced distillation as the most widely used method.

There are more than 100 scientific research institutions in more than 10 countries in the world carrying out research on desalination, and there are hundreds of desalination facilities with different structures and different capacities. A modern large-scale desalination plant can produce thousands, tens of thousands or even nearly one million tons of fresh water every day. The cost of desalinated water is constantly falling, and in some countries it has fallen to about the price of tap water. Desalinated water in some areas reaches the scale of national and urban water supplies.
