Launched in 10th 2023, this project is located in Tanzania. The client originally adopted VONTRON FR12 8040 fouling resistant RO membranes for its water treatment system. Faced with high costs and unstable supply of imported membranes, the client chose our JX BW8040FR 8040 fouling resistant RO membranes after strict performance comparison and on site tests. A total of 48 membrane elements were successfully replaced and put into stable operation.
1. High procurement and maintenance costs of imported membranes;
2. Long and unstable delivery cycle of overseas supplies;
3. Complex local raw water quality requiring high fouling resistance and stable desalination performance.
JX-BW8040FR perfectly matches the size and working parameters of VONTRON FR12-8040, requiring no modification of existing equipment. With optimized anti fouling formula, it adapts to complicated water conditions in Tanzania, featuring stable water yield and high salt rejection rate. 48 pieces were installed and commissioned successfully.
Since commissioning in 2023, the system has run continuously stably. The water quality meets production standards, with longer cleaning cycles and lower operation costs. Highly satisfied with our membrane’s performance and cost-effectiveness, the client has placed a repeat order, expanding our local market share in Tanzania.
This case proves the reliability of our domestic RO membranes in African water treatment projects, providing cost effective solutions for drinking water purification, industrial water treatment and water reuse across Africa.
