100% Factory Tested TIPS UF Membrane Modules – Reliable Alternative To Leading Brands

Every Membrane Module Matters

When selecting an ultrafiltration (UF) membrane module, performance is only one part of the equation. Equally important is manufacturing consistency and quality assurance.

A membrane module with even a minor sealing defect or damaged membrane fibers can cause leakage, unstable operation, increased maintenance costs, and unexpected downtime.

At JX Purification, every TIPS ultrafiltration membrane module is subjected to 100% factory inspection before shipment. Every single module is tested—not by sampling, but individually—to ensure reliable performance from the very first installation.

Identical construction of inner/outer surfaces/sections

Under the microscope, the structure of our TIPS membrane, both inside and outside as well as in the cross-section, can be observed. It is extremely excellent and can be comparable to the well-known Japanese brand ASAHI KASEI TIPS membrane.

Why Factory Testing Is Critical

Unlike many industrial products, UF membrane modules operate under continuous hydraulic pressure.

Even a tiny leakage at the sealing area or a broken membrane fiber can result in:

Internal leakage

Reduced filtration efficiency

Increased SDI of permeate

Loss of recovery

Higher operating costs

Test 1 – Hydrostatic Pressure Leak Test

The first inspection verifies the mechanical sealing performance.

Each membrane module is completely filled with clean water and pressurized to 0.3 MPa.

Our quality engineers carefully inspect:

End caps

Potting area

Housing connections

Sealing interfaces

Only modules with zero leakage are approved.

This test ensures that the module can withstand normal operating pressure without external leakage.

Test 2 – Membrane Fiber Integrity Test

After the hydrostatic pressure test, each module undergoes a membrane integrity inspection.

Compressed air at 0.2 MPa is introduced from the feed side.

The permeate side is connected to a transparent observation tube and monitored continuously for 2 minutes.

Acceptance Criteria:

✔ No continuous air bubbles

If continuous bubbles appear, it indicates broken membrane fibers or compromised membrane integrity.

Only modules that pass this test are released for shipment.

This inspection guarantees that every membrane bundle maintains excellent airtightness and filtration integrity.

100% Inspection—Not Sampling Inspection

Some manufacturers inspect only selected batches.

At JX Purification, we perform 100% inspection on every membrane module before shipment.
